Dr. Lorri Mitchell was born and raised in Canada. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, Canada in 1993 and went on to the Atlantic Veterinary College at the University of Prince Edward Island, Canada graduating as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in 1997. After graduation she entered small animal private practice in Lakewood, NJ where she remained until joining York Veterinary Hospital in 2007.

Dr. Mitchell is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the Virginia Veterinary Medical Association and the Greater Peninsula Veterinary Medical Association. She enjoys all aspects of small animal general practice and in addition to dogs and cats she provides health care to a variety of pocket pets such as rabbits, ferrets, rats, guinea pigs, hamsters and gerbils.

In her downtime, Dr. Mitchell can be found with her husband Steve, twin 5 year old boys, her dog and two cats.
