Lisa Strayer, LVT

Lisa attended Virginia Tech for two years before finding her calling in animal nursing and graduating with a degree in Veterinary Technology from Blue Ridge Community College in 1992. After graduating, she was fortunate enough to join a small animal practice in Denbigh where Dr. Anita Weidinger and her college roomate, Jennifer, worked. In 1997 she joined Dawn in working at an internal medicine practice and gained experience in assisting in ultrasonograpy, endoscopy, laparoscopy, blood pressure monitoring and administering chemotherapy. At the end of 2003, she was proud to rejoin the family at York Veterinary Hospital.

Lisa gets great fulfillment out of spending time with family and friends, serving at church, and finding loving homes for unwanted or stray animals that come her way.
